Practice your climbing techniques. Things such as learning the proper way to tie climbing knots. Learning skills like these will not only make you more ready for the climb, they can also help build confidence.

3-Knowing the various climbing styles.

There are several choices of climbing but you have to well know the type you choose.

Types Of Climbing

There are different types of climbing:

  • Hiking on the lower elevation mountains. Includes various terrain such as rock, dirt, brush, talus and scree.
  • Traditional climbing on the moderate elevation mountains.
  • Scaling rock walls of mountains.
  • Climbing through snow and ice.
  • Climbing glaciers and alpine trekking.

Required Equipment

The amount of equipment will grow just like your experience and desire to go to mountains. But as a starter ,only you need a pair of good walking shoes, some waterproof jacket and pants. Also you need a good climbing rope and a helmet. For sure you will take a  backpack for daily tours.
